Chapter Text
It was weirdly good day for a particularly difficult mission. A seven versus seven against Omega's agents. The sun was shining and the birds were chirping but the agents had other things in mind. They were all focused on the task at hand. Being taken by surprise would be the worst scenario for them so everyone was ready at their own post, on high alert.
The map they were on was ascent. So there wasn't much to defend, just two sites. Omen, Fade and Neon were on A. Similarly Clove and Killjoy were on B.
The last two agents were Chamber and Phoenix, placed on mid.
Chamber was holding mid catwalk from cubby with Tour De Force while Phoenix had to clear courtyard and the bit of B link he could see from his position, close to market.
Killjoy had finished setting her stuff up just some minutes prior, she was now hiding in backsite. So the moment everyone had confirmed by the comms that they were ready, Clove and Omen smoked the entrances to both sites.
Neon was stretching one last time, more than ready to run "straight to victory". That's when Fade threw her reveal on the wall between A main and A lobby while staying safe in tree. Haunt caught three enemies. That was the signal. The blue haired girl ran straight through Omen smoke, her vandal in hand and shot two of the three omega's agents right in the head before running back to cover when she got shot multiple times in the shoulder by the last one. She didn't land a single bullet on him. Which frustrated her more than the state of her arm.
«Sorry, I only got two of them. The Yoru shot me in the arm and then got away with his tp.» She said with clenched teeth. Communicating her status and that of her opponents to the team.
«You did good Neon. They might rotate to B after that. Clove, Killjoy, keep positions.» Fade adds while starting to walk silently towards the other's site to back them up if needed.
But not even a second after she finished her sentence a silhouette ran quickly in Chamber's crosshair. The enemy Jett. He pulled the trigger in a instant. The wind girl tried to dodge the bullet but she wasn't fast enough, getting shot right in the torso. She fell face first onto the ground.
«I got one, four more to go.» He said calmly. Changing position at the same time.
Killjoy's voice came through the comms :
«I think I heard footsteps in B main.
-Okay. I'm gonna push link quietly to try and takes them by surprise. Wish me luck fam.» Replied Phoenix moving silently towards B lobby.
The noises in B main intensify and Killjoy's alarmbot goes off but got rapidly destroyed by the enemies.
Clove tried to peek from stairs just to get blinded by a Yoru's flash and shot both in the head and the torso, making them fall to the ground.
The enemies entered the site.
But what was at the Alpha's team advantage was that Clove is an immortal being. So after some time they just got up like it was nothing and smoke themselves off to ran back safely to their "spawn". Where Fade was already waiting for them.
Killjoy set off her Nanoswarm before peeking. She was then able to shoot down Gekko who was Lane. And wingman that the man send to plant the spike.
No one else was on site which mean that the last three were either boathouse, next to market's door or in B main. And that what she told her team after coming back to the "safety" of backsite.
Everyone quickly agreed on a plan. Fade and Clove would enter the site from spawn the very moment the Turkish women would reveal the site. While, at the exact same time Omen and Chamber would enter from market and Phoenix would come from main a bit after. Behind the eventual enemies.
The reveal showed that Deadlock was in boathouse. Which was quickly taken care of by Fade and Omen. Clove then took back their place on stairs.
The enemy Viper had smoke the entrance of the site (B main). She probably wanted to spare herself and her team additional deaths at this point. But Phoenix wasn't going to let that happen. Since when could you attack another earth and don't suffer any consequences? He waited patiently for them to walk in front of him and that's what they did, completely unaware of his presence he easily killed the both of them. Making the mission a big success. Without a single death on their side, Sage wouldn't have to revive anyone or exhaust herself with long healing sessions.
